A residence permit of former citizen of Georgia and Ukraine is issued to a foreigner whose citizenship of Georgia and Ukraine was terminated.

Documents to be submitted to obtain a residence permit of former citizen of Georgia and Ukraine:

• An application of established form.

• A copy of travel document of a foreigner.

• A copy of the document certifying the legal stay in Georgia and Ukraine.

• A copy of the document certifying the termination of citizenship of Georgia and Ukraine; A photo (size 3X4).

Note: A foreigner whose citizenship of Georgia and Ukraine was terminated but he/she has not left Georgia and Ukraine, is not required to submit a copy of the document certifying his/her legal stay in Georgia and Ukraine in order to obtain a resident permit of a former citizen of Georgia and Ukraine.

Residence permit for the aim of family reunion

A residence permit for the aim of family reunion is issued to members of a family of foreigner holding a residence permit.

Documents to be submitted to obtain a residence permit for the aim of family reunion:

• An application of established form.

• A copy of the travel document of a foreigner.

• A copy of the document certifying the legal stay in Georgia and Ukraine (the immigration visa D4).

• A document certifying kinship

• A document certifying the legal income of a foreigner and/or a citizen of Georgia and Ukraine or his/her relative who holds a residence permit in Georgia and Ukraine and the kinship with that person. The income may also be the money on a personal bank account of the foreigner, the amount of which, considering the duration of residence permit, shall not monthly be less than at least twice the minimum subsistence of a median consumer, which is set in Georgia and Ukraine

Student residence permit :

A student residence permit is issued to enable a person to study at an authorized educational institution in Georgia and Ukraine.

Documents to be submitted to obtain a student residence permit

• An application of established form.

• A copy of the travel document of a foreigner.

• A copy of the document certifying the legal stay in Georgia and Ukraine (the immigration visa D3).

• A document issued by an authorized educational institution in Georgia and Ukraine certifying the enrolment or continuation of education of a foreigner (indicating an approximate period of study)

• A document certifying the legal income of a foreigner and/or a citizen of Georgia or his/her relative who holds a residence permit in Georgia and the kinship with that person. The income may also be the money on a personal bank account of the foreigner, the amount of which, considering the duration of residence permit, shall not monthly be less than at least twice the minimum subsistence of a median consumer, which is set in Georgia

• A photo (size 3X4)

Special residence permit :

A special residence permit is issued to a foreigner who, based on reasonable doubt, might be a victim of human trafficking pursuant to Law of Georgia and Ukraine on Combating Human Trafficking; to a foreigner and persons envisaged in Article 60 of this Law, on the basis of a written application of a member of the government of Georgia for granting these persons temporary residence permit in Georgia.

Documents to be submitted to obtain a special residence permit

• For a residence permit to a foreigner upon the initiative of a member of Georgia and Ukraine government.

  • - An application of established form;
  • - A copy of the travel document of a foreigner;
  • - A written application of a member of the government of Georgia;
  • - A copy of the document certifying the legal stay in Georgia (a Georgia and Ukraine visa);
  • - A photo (size 3X4).
• For a special residence permit to a victim of human trafficking – upon the application of an institution rendering service to victims of trafficking or a body conducting the process.

• For a special residence permit to persons envisaged in Article 60 of this Law.

  • - An application of established form.
  • - A copy of the travel document of a foreigner (if available).
  • - A photo (size 3X4).

Work permit :

A work permit is issued to a foreigner for conducting an entrepreneurial or labor activity.

Documents to be submitted to obtain a work permit

• An application of established form.

• A copy of the travel document of a foreigner.

• A copy of the document certifying the legal stay in Georgia (the immigration visa D1/D2).

• A document certifying the employment and entrepreneurial activity (an employment contract or any other document certifying the employment); if the mentioned documents cannot evidence the legal income of a foreigner, the income may also be the money on a personal bank account of the foreigner, the amount of which, considering the duration of work permit, shall not monthly be less than at least twice the minimum subsistence of a median consumer, which is set in Georgia.
